Double Posting is not cool  lol
Well from what Mike said, that interview with chester that said they would be playing a new song at PR seems to be false.
and about the Genre thing that he was talking about. He's exactly right. that's a good interview despite all of hims um's and pauses lol.
Im glad it works because I had to use someone else to verify lol.
BTW: is it a video or only audio?

Awesome Interview. I'm glad that they're going to do something different from HT and Meteora for the next album.

wow this is a really great interview.... the next album supposely was supposed to be based on sounds like BTH, but i hope mike shinoda produces the album so linkin park can express what they wanna write instead of what don gilmore wants don gilmore gets.... so i guess theyll be writing new songs after PR? dosent it end in august or something...well all i know is i cannot wait till their 3rd album comes out :mike:

Your Real Player is set to play .WMV, but you can change that in options so that Windows Media plays it. Either that or open the URL in Windows Media yourself.

Yep just figured that out. Man this sucks though, no new material from them. I'm sick of covers. I know that the longer they take the better it will be but this is getting ridiculous. There is only so long their not-so-hardcore fans will wait before forgetting about them.
Edit: God I'm trying to watch it but my computer keeps dropping the connection.

Quit whining. Their 'hardcore' fans are smart enough to realize that they only realized an album last year and that it takes usually 2 years until a band releases a follow-up to their next record.
I'm sure you must have came after Meteora because us fans had to wait 3 whole years until we saw a new studio album from Linkin Park. Considering the fact that Linkin Park are trying to release new material by the end of the year, there's absolutely no need to complain about it. Things like this take time.

Holly crap buddy have a little patience, it hasn't even been 2 years since the release of Meteora. I mean the average time between most albums for a band is like two years. But if you look at bands who constanly put out phenominal albums, like Tool, there is like a four year wait between them. If you "hardcore fans" want to forget about linkin park then good, because lp has too many fans right now anyways. It would probably do them some good to loose a few million fans or so.

Sorry I was just looking foward to hearing new material on the PR '04 tour and before that the Breaking the Habit single (awesome video by the way). And is Mike talking about the PR tour in that interview because he mentioned playing in Asia and I thought it was a U.S. only tour. If that is true then there could be hope for new material at PR '04 yet. :D
Edit: I am really sorry I wasn't trying to diss LP I was just a little disapointed ok? Please forget I said anything.

Hybrid Theory came out in 2000. Meteora came out in 2003. 2003 minus 2000 equals the 3 year wait.
EDIT: And then Omar shows up and sums it up in 3 words. Curse you.

This interview probably took place before the band went to Asia.

The Asia part was NOT referring to the Projekt Rev. Tour.

Hybrid Theory came out in November 2000, hence they were on the 2001 MTV VMA's & won best selling album award for 2001, not 2000. Meteora Came out in March of 2003.
In Conclusion, it was 2 and a half years, not 3. Why does this matter or why do you care? You dont. Im tired, Good Night.

yeah, I don't care how long it takes the band to release an album, what I care is the quality of music.

I guess one of the changes Mike mentioned was replacing Figure .09 with Breaking The Habit for their list of songs, because that was what happened when they came to HK.
That kinda sucks cause i think Figure .09 is a great song.

Yeah, you're right, Figure.09 is a great song, but I think BTH is a very good song to perform live, because it sounds much better than in album version.

[FONT=Optima] Well from what i was able to watch (my media player kept stopping every 5 seconds to rebuffer then half way through just quit on me) i CAN'T wait for their new album! i'm a huge LP fan and have been since the beginning. their coffee book is gonna be awesome too, have to get that. hopefully i'll make it to the PR tour (got my fingers crossed) and finally be able to see them live.I guess one of the changes Mike mentioned was replacing Figure .09 with Breaking The Habit for their list of songs, because that was what happened when they came to HK.
