When a guy (myself for instance) thinks a chick from a band (Kittie, the blonde one that was sitting on the left on headbangers ball recently...) is hot, it's ok, but when a girl likes a guy in a band is hot they're crediblity as a fan of the music is thrown out of the window.

But the trend seems to be that girls go out and buy a band's CD for the photos in the booklet because they're hot, and post on message boards saying their hot and pretend their married to the band members and don't give two sh!ts about the band's music and real talent.

Most guys, however, won't spend a penny on a Britney Spears CD just for pictures of her unless the booklet has photos of her completley naked, and I dont see many guys going around posting on message boards saying "OMG BRITNEY SPEARS IS SOOOOO HOT!!!!!111" and registering the username "britneyshubby"

it's not exactly sexist, most of teenies are girls, you see.




also, this obsession takes longer to wear off on female teenies. I think about 80-90% are females which is why you get the "---is so hawt" thing.
