Linkin Park, along with Slipknot, Korn, Slash (Velvet Revolver, ex-Guns N' Roses guitarist), Trapt, Hoobastank, Enrique Inglesias, Quincy Jones, Orlando Bloom, Adam Sandler, skateboarder Danny Way, and various other athletes have bonded together to help Kelli Jaunsen, a twenty-year-old in need of a heart and liver, get organ transplants. All the bands/celebrities have autographed and donated items to an Ebay auction for the Palm Desert, California girl, whose insurance company refuses to cover her expenses because she has multiple organs failing. Thumbs up to Linkin Park and all the artists/celebrities involved!

I didn't think that was the actual Anna Shinoda posting stuff on another fansites forums, but I will give you credit, now that it is an official source.

Why won't they just donate money themselves instead of selling items on ebat? I'm sure they can afford it.

What a great thing to do by all the bands and talented people auctioning items off. There is some pretty cool stuff up for bidding.

Omar A - For all we know all of the bands/people auctioning items have probably already donated to the fund. Although, putting items on E - bay would help generate that little bit more, it's also a great way of getting the charity/fund known to a wider audience.

You know what the funniest thing is about this situation, there are hardly any pop artists/celebrities donating to the auction, and then rock music gets all the stick. It just goes to show that pop artists are only intersted in one thing most of the time, the fame and the money. Wait that's two things :wth:

Mmm...very true.

What most pop artists think about is money and fame only. What a shame.

Anyone thinkin of making a bid on any of the items? I'm strongly thinking about bidding for the LP posters and Korn sets.

Its great to see LP and all these other artists doing this and its just one of the many reasons I respect them.

And someone else mentioned it and I completley agree, you don't see all the pop and rap artists helping out because they hold onto every penny they get and just want more.

The Only somewhat Pop artist that contributed is Enrique Iglesias

That's why if I ever get rich, I'll put most of it away and donate it to a random charity when I'm in my retirement years.
