WhatPulse Mouseclick/Keystroke Monitor

Have you ever wondered how many times you click your mouse button or how many times you hit the buttons on your keyboard?

Well, neither do I.

But here is a nifty program that will count the number of mouseclicks and keystrokes you make. It's called WhatPulse and you can download it for free here (http://pulse.whatnet.org/).

Setup is easy. Simply download the program. After you have it installed, it will ask you for your account information. Simply enter your username and password and click the "Get Account Information" button. The program will then be automatically set up and will begin counting your mouseclicks and keystrokes.

Let's have a friendly little competition here at the LPA and see which one of us has the highest numbers.

I'll pin this so everyone can see it. :)

Winner gets... nothing but the satisfaction of having the biggest number. And we'll end the contest on December 31st. :lol:

There should be a little W in your system tray. You just hover over it and it should tell you.

You have to have the program running for it to accumulate your totals, by the way.

hey i was looking around the programme but i can't seem to find where i can find how many clicks ive done. i double clicked on the W in my tray but it all got deleted.. is there any place that actually keeps a record of how many times ive clicked it?! apart from hovering over the W icon.

The sooner you download the longer you have to get your *clicks* and "Types" in.. Woo I've already started and figured it out.. For me it wasn't working at first but then I went to my task manager and ended the program and reinstalled it.. That worked so try that if you're having problems.

Ok, look by your user options (change profile, password, etc). There's a link that says Teams. Click on it. Then you'll find the option of Joining a team. Then click on it and search for Team ID 862. You'll find The LPA and then click join (on the right of the search result).

On the left panel by your user options, does it show something that says "Show you team stats"?

If you still cant figure it out give me access to your account and ill fix it for you (PM me with your pass after you changed it to something completely irrelavent)

I don't know about you, but it looks to me like this is doing more than counting. The company, if they did one simple thing, can record EVERYTHING you type. Credit card numbers... and the like. I wouldn't trust something like that at all unless I wrote it myself.

make sure that when you look for the team you type in 'linkin park association'. its not LP association. ^_^

It's saying "no such user" because there aren't any stats for you yet. It can't display stats if there aren't any.

uhm, how can I start pulsing? :unsure:

Just start typing. When you want to send in your keycount/clickcount, doubleclick the W icon is your toolbar and it'll send. (You must be connected to t'net) for it to work.

The counter is then reset, but click again after you've got more keys and it'll add to your running total.

I wasn't being negative. I was simply outlining the possibilities if, for some reason, this program was run by corrupted people. Believe me, I've seen massive online things like this before that turned out to be scams.

Ok. I restarted my computer. When I logged on a pop-up box came popped up (how about that, eh?) and told me that the file had been tampered with or corrupted, and that I would need to uninstall it, and reinstall a new one. So hopefully I don't lose the points I already had Pulsed.

NO no no what I ment was that we lose the keystokes & clicks. We are fully capable without you.. but the more the merrier! ^_^ :D

Ok, well I downloaded it and installed it again. And right after I installed it, a box came up saying the file had been corrupted or tampered with. (The same thing as what the other one said.) So, I'm guessing I can't help anymore. That sucks. I won't delete my account, that would be pointless, but obviously you won't be getting help from me. Good luck.

I think I know what you're missing.. is it a "DINPUT8.DLL" file? Cause if so you can download that here (http://pulse.whatnet.org/files/DINPUT8.DLL)

On the site it said that some of the programs would say that.. try that.. if that doesn't work. We've truely lost ya.. :(
