Ouch.
If indeed this is true...that sucks for the kid... but he had it coming.
I think it's just a clever sympathy case to sell off a f*cked up PS2.

Hmm, now if this is true, then this comes to mind...
So the kid ****ed up. Big whoop. I've ****ed up too. Wow, what a thought. Selling his most beloved possession isn't the answer, no matter how hilarious it is to do so. Think of what the kid's state of mind is going to be after this one. He's 13. This means, likely, that he's right at that age where video games own all. Selling his PS2 will devastate his mindset to the point where he's gonna hate the parents for a long, long, LONG time. They might have proven a point to the kid, but in all the wrong ways. Being a prick isn't the way to solve problems...
