I know this is a rumor, but I think it needs to be a new topic b/c it could very well be true. Supposedly, Feb. 2 is the single date for it out, and supposedly, it's very "In The End-ish" so let's all look for that...all except me who's "breaking the habit" of d/l albums before they come out hehe

Anyways, posta news on the single here until it's released then we can close this..

Yeah, I have to agree with you, Omi. When I downloaded what I could for Reanimation before it came out, you know, I loved what I heard. When I actually bought Reanimation, I didn't really liked it as much as I did when I listened to HT for the first time, mainly because I played the remixes to death. So, yeah, no more downloading of LP songs for me.

But "one thing, I don't know why it doesn't even matter" when they release it (like my In the Endish quote there). I think hype will stay the same no matter what. Whenever they release the vid and sing., it will only bring us "one step closer" to the album.

haha, that was one trippy post.

i don't know where people got february 2nd, because they haven't even started to shoot the vid, or if they have started shooting, they haven't been for long. then comes the editing, implementation of special effects, etc.

i still think it's gonan come out around the end of february.

Yea, Linkin Park was supposed to start filming late this week/next week. So I dought they're done yet. Even after they are done all the filming, it will take 2 weeks to edit all of it and get it perfect. So sometime Febuary.

I think it depends if Linkin Park wants to release it like that, they may release it on their site before the video, or they might not. Who knows.

And that's just what NMC eCharting artists, Linkin Park, are doing with their follow up to Hybrid Theory. Take their the first single off the new album. LP is letting go of the angst and turning that frown upside down.

Hey guys,

I was browsing the LP.com message boards and I came upon an interesting rumor, it could easily be true.

Some radio station was interviewing LP, I don't what station, but it was sometime last week. After the interview was done, the radio DJ said the the single, which is 'Somewhere I Belong' will be coming out February 2nd. This is pretty reliable if this is true. But whether or not it was really on the radio is a mystery. If the DJ that interviewed them said this, it is very much possible it is the right date. Now if you put all the pieces together, it is very possible. Done filming, editing takes two weeks, it puts us at or around February 2nd.

Im confused...Feb 2 is a Sunday, arent stuff released on a Tuesday? Perhaps they may start playing it around then, or just give lp fans a preview... The single probably wont actually be in stores for another 4 or 5 weeks or so...

When is MTV going to be airing the Making of the Video for "Somewhere I belong" ? I can't wait to hear the song because I've been arguing back and forth with my friend about the fake song thats being shared right now... I don't think its real and he's convinced it is because it sounds like the lead singer singing... I'm like dude, even if it is him, ITS NOT THE SONG! He can't understand how people can "fake" a song! LOL
