You talk about not wanting to be shut-down because of illegal mp3 swapping. How did you know the MP3s we had up on this site are ok for people to download? Are they not copyrighted or something like that?

No, they were not copyrighted. Don't worry we're being extremely careful. This is like sex to us... or maybe just me :shifty:

So all their demos and stuff like that aren't copyrighted?

well yes but not a real strong copyright that is enforced. you can record a sloppy song on a tape recorder and it's copyrighted but if someone infringes its pretty much impossible to sue them or anything

so it's basicly useless

i think alll thats right ^_^

Live songs and demos are not copyrighted, unless specifically noted, or if it is used on a single/promo etc.

For instance: the first live playing of meteora songs were ripped by millions of people to listen. No trouble

For instance: The IGD demo was a press release, given on the internet, so again, no copyright :)

I've gone to a concert and they don't let you into the place where the concert is being held with any recording devices because of a copyright infringement. How does that work out?

Hey, but those mp3's and videos aren't free to download - you have to get a password first. What kind of a password is it? Is it the LPU login + password or what?

No, they were not copyrighted. Don't worry we're being extremely careful.

That means that it's you who created the password thing? Then what do users have to do to get it - donate or something? I'm just curious, cause I found some mp3s which I have never seen before, and finding and collecting rare songs by LP is my obsession. (That's why I joined LPU - the bonus CD's. I just want the music legally.)

Pleeeeeeeeease answer me... I NEED your answer!

If you are talking about the MP3s on this website, they are down, and no one can access them right now. There is no password to see the MP3s but I believe that you have to have a username on the forums.

You don't need to be a member on the forums. Whenever we get a server, you just go to the part of the site and download.

I am new to your site and i just got started using the forums. I have a question about the mp3s. This might have been asked already, but i would like to know when the mp3s will be back up and running for downloads? I personally love to find new and old demos and rare songs. I know that your web site has an abundance of demo songs along with the cover of guns'n roses Sweet Child o' mine. I really would love for those mp3s to be back!! Please give me answers to this madness....
