Wow. Congratulations.
This is a big deal, personally, I think you and your spouse (or girlfriend...I don't know the situation so excuse my cluelessness.) should decide.
Are you a dad and you don't have a name for the baby, or are you going to be a dad? If you don't mind me asking.

I say you name the child Omar, even if its a girl.
boy - Matt

I thought it should go, "Luke, I am your father"?
And before you do that, breathe really heavily and hoarsely and say it in a metallically enhanced voice.
Oh, and don't forget to play the darth vader tune. Type "/sevil" on MSN messenger and you'll get my meaning.

This is going to sound weird but what is your nationality? Sometimes some names sound better on different nationalities than others.
For example if you are black and are going to have a girl you could name her names like "Tamira", "Latoya", "Fantasia"...and I just noticed I was naming off American Idol's there..
I need to watch reality shows less often. :wth:

Wow, major congrats! :hugz:
If it's a boy, I would highly suggest Liam (pronounced like Lee - um). Love that name, gonna name my future kid Liam someday.
If it's a girl, I would say Jordan. I know it's a guy's name but it's also a girl's name and I think a girl named Jordan would be awesome.

Jordan is an awesome girl's name.
Derek watches American Idol?! I never would have guessed...
Boy... Trogdor.
Girl... Tristan.
My parents chose "Mark" because nobody in school or in life could ever make fun of it by rhyming random words with it. If you say "Park Mark!", or "Mark likes the dark", it's not really an insult. Sounds pretty crazy, but it saved me from a lot of teasing, whereas a fat guy with the last name "Tulk" was called "Tulk In Bulk", and someone else named "Hayden" was called "Gay-men" (pretty immature, I know, but that's elementary school for you :P). So make it a strongly feminin/masculin name, I've always liked Samantha and Christina for girls, and Zack and Bradley for guys.

Aww congrats mate =)
Take care of each other. I won't bother suggesting names because I can't really be arsed, but I will admit I have a thing for 'Sapphire' >_>'
One day, if I ever have a girl I want to name her Niera. And if it's a guy I'd like to name it Elijah. I've always liked those names, you can use them if you want. :)

Naming a baby...naming a- I know! If it's a boy you should name it Julian or Seth or Tony because those are by far my favorite boy names. If it's a girl you should name it Alexis or Autumn, A names are always fun. ^_^ But really, it's your kid, name it whatever you want!

Thanks for the congrats guys. I think its taking to long. Oh well what are you gonna do.
i guess it depends on what kind of name you want, like..
old people names:
Ethyl, Al, Barney, Margerie, Maude
little girl names:
Tiffany, Ashley, Brittany
little boy names:
Timmy, Bobby
two in one names:
Jake Leroy, Docus Marie
southerner names (also 2 in 1):
Barbra Jean, Billy Bob
ghetto names with "é"s at the end:
Nairé (nai-ray), Shadé (sha-day), Kahdigé (kah-dee-zhay)
ghetto names with capital letters in the middle:
LaToya, NaWanda, GloZelle
just really ghetto names:
Fanisia, Shaniqua, you know and all that good stuff
place names:
Georgia, Paris
mexican "J" names that sound like "H"s:
José, Jesus, Jorge
weird vampire names:
Dredia, Drachen, Kindred
medieval names:
Celestria, Leticia, Amadeus, Calibor
mythological names:
Lillith, Electra, Orion
christian names:
Jaden, Aidan, Cornelia, Petrina
way-too-christian christian names:
Hope, Faith, Charity
though i suggest you avoid most of those
oh, and you should avoid really common names. there would be like 3 other kids with the same name in one class and they would be referred to as "John M." or "Ashley D." which really sucks
