Former LIMP BIZKIT guitarist Wes Borland will be entering the studio on June 1 "to begin the process of making the collection of songs I have into a record," Wes writes on his newly launched web site. "Danny Lohner and Josh Eustis (from Telefon Tel Aviv) are coming along for the ride. Jon Bates from MELLOWDRONE is coming in later in the month and I may be getting a very very special guest to be on the record that I'll travel to Australia to record. Looks like it's going to be a great summer."
SLIPKNOT's new album, "Vol. 3: (The Subliminal Verses)", is on track to sell between 250,000 and 300,000 copies in its first week of release to debut at No. 2 on next week's The Billboard 200 chart, according to Hits Daily Double. The only new release expected to shift more copies than SLIPKNOT is AVRIL LAVIGNE's sophomore outing, "Under My Skin", which is headed for a No. 1 debut with over 350,000 sold in its first week of release. AVRIL's 350K figure could easily move closer to 400K before the week's over, but whether it will actually reach that mark or not can only be answered by the upcoming Memorial Day weekend.
