[COLOR=blue][COLOR=blue][SIZE=7][SIZE=7][FONT=Courier][FONT=Courier][B]: :joe: :rob: :mike: :phoenix: :chaz: :brad: Do we LP fans realy want them to go pop?I read in a recent interview that they`re planning on changing their sound to more like what"Breaking the habit" sounds like.Honestly I like them for everything they do ,but going absolutely pop isn`t the right thing to do ,agree!??? ;) :rawk:

read the rules babes ;), for your post, i mean.

i hope they dont turn pop, the reason i liked them in the 1st place was because they had their own style of music

Actually.....that DOES raise a valid point...what if they DO....change their style??!??!?!

Brad said they are going to use BTH as a model, meaning they are going to be as creative as BTH with the new songs and try new things.

and besides pop reay means popular music when we think of pop we think of suger coated singers who do nothing but sing and dont write they're own lyrics. BTH is not candy pop its a softer more inovative rock song.

I'd definately like to see Chester singing more and Mike rapping less, Mike is really talented and there are others things he could be doing other than rapping, i think LP would be better that way but then again they just wouldnt have that Hybrid sound anymore.

Well anyway, i like how they've decided to go in the direction of BTH, creativity-wise because those lyrics are the only lyrics on Meteora i actually find intelligent.

Mix of both.

When Brad said they were going to use BTH as a model, he meant LP were going to use it creatively-wise. BTH has the best lyrics on 'Meteora', so I'm happy for this. Brad didn't mean they were going to create the same sound, he meant the structure, experimentation, lyrical creativity and careful preperation that they put into BTH.

I freaking HATE these kinds of threads. People take one thing and completely blow it up, overexpose it, and overreact over it. Ugh.

I suggest a warning for everyone who uses the :rawk: thing when it's not called for.

 I agree.

I also hope the lyrics are more like BTH. For 2 reasons..

1. They are personal. They aren't trying to relate to people, it's something that is really about them and there lives. (Actually I think It's about a friend of Mike...I think I read that in the booklet...but still its personal.) I hope that Chester and Mike starting to write deeper lyrics, and stop trying to relate to the teens of today.

2. See above.

not to mention it's the first semi-original thing Linkin Park has done since...uh, since...well, never.

LP probably will have soft songs on their next album but they will be similar to BTH (softer rock and not pop) BTH was a great creative song and I am glad they are following it's example.

No, let people use the :rawk: face. So many more warnings will be given out and then no one will use it.

I wouldn't mind if LP deciced to make a Country style album, because I believe that they would make Country sound better than others.

i think that the third album is going to be very different with lots of new sounds on it, i also think that mike's rapping is going to decrease even more on this album (i hope not though)

If LP ever changes their style of music to pop, I'll definitely pop. Literally.

I like their Hybrid Theory sound, mm. They should keep it that way!

Oh man, thank god they aren't changing, whoever started this thread got their fatcs twisted or summat and thought that they were changing, well, just as long as they aren't chaning to pop I'm fine with that, the third album will be great, I have faith in them, man.

oh sure, if you only classify pop as britney spears, nsync, christina aguilera, etc... but isnt pop just a shorter word for popular? they play linkin park all the time on the pop stations here, like 95.5 and 93.1. I remember like last year to two years ago, they played In The End like 857389457 times and then they'd play N'Sync.

i love bth.i think it's something different.it would be nice if their new album had one or two songs similar to bth. but i love their hardcore/hybrid theory side.i love chester's screams! that's linkin park after all! i don't want their new album to be that soft. i hope they have creative/bth lyrics and keep their "full of anger" vocals. i also hope we listen to something completely new and innovative but at the same time>hardcore. i want their hybrid theory passion back!!
*calms down and walks out*

I hope LP doesn't fall into THAT category.
