Video can be found in media section. There are currently about 30 second clips of each song from the upcoming album, "We Are Not Alone".
That's a nice site! And video is wicked too! The video version of "So Cold" is pretty good, but I don't think it beats the album version. The video version has the intro cut down and some other parts shortened.

Actually, a good amount of record labels aren't too obsessive when it comes to control. Virgin comes to mind... a great label for bands starting out. They've given 30 Seconds to Mars some amazing support -- and even though their CD didn't sell well they didn't drop them. Kudos, Virgin.

I pre-ordered it with the live EP so I should get it either today or tomorrow.
No stores around here would have it this early. When Meteora came out, I had to wait five days because they said they hadn't gotten a shipment with it.

I don't think it'll come that soon on the shipping plan they gave... unless you got an e-mail a day or two ago saying they shipped it. I'd expect it in (at the earliest) a day or two.

Target here didn't even have the dang thing... I went at 11AM, then came back at 3PM and 8PM. Didn't have it any of the times. Hopefully it'll come in tomorrow and I'll be there at 11AM again.
(I want a second copy.... since it's only $7 for right now :P)
This CD is awesome. No doubt, it is the Best Album of 2004.

FYI, at Target, when you go there the first time, if they don't have any, ask the person working there if they have any in the back. If they check and say no, Target will not have any in stock until at least the next day. They unload trucks overnight, so if the CDs are on a truck ready to be unloaded, it won't be taken off the truck until the middle of the night and put out to the floor the next day.
And, you can always just call the store to see if they have it :P If they don't, go to Target and get a raincheck for it so you can get the sale price after the sale when they come in stock. If you really want to impress the person working there when you call, tell them you have the DPCI number for the CD and it's 012-06-1460
Also, now that I think of it, Target stores across the country may not have the CD in for awhile....Target is really good about getting CDs out and having them in stock on release day, hell, the CDs arrive at the store the Thursday or Friday before release date. The fact that some stores are out of stock makes me wonder if there was a problem at a distribution center (the warehouse where all the #### is stored) and the entire chain is out....granted, it's 2 stores that I know of so far out of 1,000+ stores, but Target not having a CD on a release date is rare.

Yep.
Walmart edits all the CDs they get if they know even the clean versions have bad stuff on it (or if there is no clean version). If there's a clean version Walmart only orders that and not the PA version.

Sometime this week, go to Target and get a raincheck, so you can still get the sale price. Although, IIRC, the regular price is $8.99 which is still hella cheap

Usually if you bring in the original paper with the ad and show them they will give it to you at that price. Most of the time you can bring in a ad from a diff. store if it is at a lower price, but since it is a ad from the same store I would assume they would have to give it to you. At least I think Best Buy does that anyway. :wth:

Supporting the artist. Helping their sales. The ability to play it in my car and having a backup copy since my car has been known to eat CDs. The option of taking a copy of it with me pretty much everywhere I go and not having to worry about not having it in case I want to 'sell it' (as in make people listen) to some friends. The satisfaction of knowing that I'm helping an up-and-coming artist, even if by only one copy.
