View Full Version : Linkin Park Sightings

I thought that this would be a cool idea for a thread. Basically, you post all the Linkin Park sightings that you can find and/or know about.
For example, I was watching the show George Lopez just now and noticed that the daughter on the show has a Linkin Park poster on the top of her closet door.
Things like that are what I'm looking for. Maybe I'll be able to use it in the future for a new section on the site or something like that (with full credit to the people who sighted the sightings).
Little things like that are what I'm looking for. So if you see something like that, post it here. Make sure you VERIFY IT FIRST. I don't want any false claims.
There's a Linkin Park poster (the 'hybrid theory' promotional picture where Chester has his hands behind his neck and the other four guys are next to him, no phoenix in the pic) right behind Kim Bauer's (Elisha Cuthbert's character) bed in one episode of 24.
There's also a Reanimation poster on the back wall of a shop in Fastlane.

There's a McDonald's commercial where the guy stands in fron of his mirror and goes " 1 Chicken Fillet" and then on the wall behind you can see this yellow and blue poster, it's not a real life person one, but it's definitely LP because i can see chester and his "flames".

There's a Reanimation poster on a background wall of the place Sabrina works on Sabrina The Teenage Witch
Also, on Raising Dad, Sarah has this poster (http://www.lpassociation.com/cgi-bin/lpa-i.cgi?set=GroupOffc&ST=7) on the wall in her basement bedroom.

No, in the new series where she is a journalist is what I mean.

I did see it with my eyes and it was on TV. Its not really clear that sightings should only be posters on TV shows..
Both sides have a point. Let's just say, after this, official things don't count. Like ads for LP and whatnot.
In series 3 of Six Feet Under, Earlier in the series Claires "boyfriend" had a couple of posters of LP on his wall, reanimation and hybrid theory if i remember correctly.

In the Our Lady Peace video for "Innocent" there is an LP poster on the wall of one of the kids' rooms. It's right above the doorway of the room where a guy is playing his guitar.
Can we post where we have heared LP music playing on certain shows?

The hidden team "Maddenstein Monsters" on Madden NFL 2003 has a player named 'Hi Voltage'. Doesn't relate to LP besides the name, but yea, it's an LP sighting...sort of.

Yeah. But if it's a movie that LP is on the soundtrack, don't bother.
I know on the TV staton, 'Spike TV', when they cut from commercials back to the show, they have their little 'Spike TV' logo screens. Well on one, there's a spraypainted 'Spike TV' logo, and it plays a Papercut riff in the background.
Well this is rather scary, but over here in the UK there's a really crappy show on ITV that is called Celebrity Fit Club, it basically sees a load of fat z-list celebs get thin. Well, anyway, the point is in one show they had a little promo vid building up one of the celebs and they had the intro from Somewhere I Belong playing over and over. I didnt know wether to be scared or amused. :wth:
I'm not sure if this is very close to what you're talking about but one time I was watching Korns Diary on MTV and they were on tour with Linkin Park at the time. They were in front of a door that said "Linkin Park Dressing Room" and one of the guys took a sharpie and started writing profanity or somthing of the sort and laughing his head off.. then Mike came on the screen and he was talking to one of the guys from Korn (I forget who) and he starting showing Mike some pictures of his kids or somthing like that.
That's all I have. Hopefully that's a sighting I guess.

I've heard some songs from Linkin Park throughout the NBA Playoffs. Where they show some highlights of the game and put it into one. I've heard "Figure .09" and another but I can't remember.
One time we had this presentation at our school about drunk driving and it was on these 3 giant projection screens, and Somewhere I Belong was the intro to the whole thing. It was awesome

I must admit this is a very interesting thread.
MTV uses a lot of Linkin Park guitar riffs during there shows. For example, at the 2003 VMAs they used "Somewhere I Belong" during the cut to commercials and in "Making The Band 2" they had Crawling. The also used Faint a lot during the MADE episode where the girl wanted to become a football player.

This is kinda old, but it wasn't on here. . .
They used "Session" during the Pre-Game Show before the Super Bowl.
I've also heard it during different football games.

A local rock radio station used Session as bg music. It's a very good song for ambient music.

Ahhhh, here goes (everything below has happened in Greece)
Session: used in the Women's party and an extreme sports show
My Voltage (remix): used in that extreme sports show again
Figure.09: Used in a network's ad for "24"
In the end: Used as bg music in fame Story, the greek Star Academie
Somewhere i belong: used in the ad of a series
...and many more
"Points of Authority" was used in an action sequence in the movie and trailer for "Extreme Ops"
On Cribs once, "Dee Snider" of "Twisted Sister" started singing One Step Closer, atleast i think it was him :wth:

somebody did a presentation at my high school about nuclear war, and he showed film clips of nukes going off, and Numb was the background music. I thought it fit pretty well.
and Faint is mixed with a couple other songs by other bands on Fuse when they advertise the show 4Play, but I think everyone knew that. :)

That reminds me when I heard In The End during lunch. They played the song because my old High school had usually selected random days to play music.

My cousin pulled me into his room to show me the wrestling program he was watching was playing SIB. I believe it was "RAW" or something, but I don't watch wrestling. I do know it was "WWE" :)
.. theres a lp poster in "little nikki"(with adam sandler) along with alot of other band posters in nikki's room in hell
and the camera man in regis and kelly show once had a LP shirt with the LP symbols on it
Once in wrestling, i believe the FWA or something like that. Possibly ROH? A wrestler came out to "Numb" as his entrance theme. Quite a wierd choice for an entrance theme. :wth:

She's talking about the MTV MOvie Awards, when they annoucne the nominations before giving out thew awards. "Faint", "From The Inside" and "Somewhere I belong" were used for various LOTR clips, and "Don't Stay" was used for a Shanghai Knights clip.

I was going to post this yesterday, but I didn't have a class. 5 minutes into the 3rd period of the Stanley Cup Finals, they played Numb. Everytime I goto a hockey game, they ALWAYS play LP.
I was watching that one TV show just now called 'Made' on MTV. For this one show it was about a girl that wanted to be on a dance team (I forget the name) and she tried her hardest to get her dream. During ten seconds of the show it played 'It's Goin Down' with The Xecutioners and Mike Shinoda. Then that was about it..

There is this stupid show on TV here in the afternoon. They are always using LP songs on it. They always use (or used to...) Cure For The Itch when they had skating/surfing/biking tips and stuff. I've also heard the use One Step Closer a fair bit.
In the Simple Plan DVD you can hear them listening to Linkin Park in the extra bit where Seb is getting his first tattoo...

On one episode of "Smallville," Clark says:
"I think I've heard enough of Linkin Park concerts to hear that" or something like that.

That proves it. Even Superman likes Linkin Park. B)
I don't know if this counts, but in I just went to Washington DC and I went to the annual barbecue festival. They had a van with a US Air Force mural on it, but more importantly, in the back, it had 2 subwoofers, a 24 in. DVD screen, and they were blasting Hybrid Theory.
I was visiting in Germany last week and I watched a documentary about the Frankfurt Bahnhof Viertel, kind of a red light district/bad part of town. They were filming in a strip club where two girls were practicing their 'dance' to Numb.

It's on the soundtrack. The one preformed in the movie was done by the person who wrote the song, Korn's frontman Jonathan Davis. For legal issues though, Chester did the song for the soundtrack.

I just remembered a few weeks ago, I was flipping through channels and stopped it at some kind of talent show thing (might of been star search). The reason I had stopped was because I heard Linkin Park music. However, Linkin Park wasn't singing. It was their music and their words, but someone else was singing it. I guess they aren't allowed to use the real artists in competitions like that. I just thought that was wierd hearing someone else singing Linkin Park the way they did. I forget what song it was, but they were singing it differently. It was pretty good actually. Not as good as LP of course.
Oh yeah, I forgot to mention it was a group of people DANCING to it---not singing it! haha

I don't know if this has been reported, but in my area, the radio stations have an editted version of Numb/Encore. Instead of the modified Numb loop at the beginning, it has the original intro straight into "Encore, do you want more..."
We had a drunk driving presentation that played the intro to ETR and on a Brintey Spears sepcial on MuchMusic it showed her dance practicing to A Place For My head.

And in several German TV series they use Linkin Park songs as background music which really roxx...
Yesterday I saw a MTV show called "True Life" where a father is a real "Star Wars" addict and in the last take of that series they played the intro of "In The End" which was really cool because it fit to the whole scene... ;)
