Linkin Park - A Thousand Suns Genre: Alternative Rock // Electronic Rock Pink Floyd - Wish You Were Here Genre: Progressive Rock // Artrock Pink Floyd - The Wall Genre: Progressive Rock // Artrock 3 of my alltime favorite records <3
My albums of the last three or four months are SATURATION I and II by BROCKHAMPTON. Can't recommend them enough to you guys.
10/4/2017 Talking Heads - Remain in Light Ryuichi Sakamoto - async 10/5/2017 Massive Attack - Protection Radiohead - Kid A
The Black Dahlia Murder - Nightbringers (Melodic Death Metal) This album absolutely slays! One of my favourites so far this year! Now I need to listen to this new August Burns Red album, which I'm sure will end up in my top 10 list as well! So many great releases in 2017.
Shania Twain - Now Genre: Country; Pop; Rock Still haven't finished listening to it, but it's certainly one of the albums of the year. It's weird that she hadn't released an album since 2002, that's too long, but I think it's better than some of the songs I've heard from Come On Over and Up! despite not having listened to those two in full.
August Burns Red - Phantom Anthem (Metalcore/Progressive) The best Metalcore band ever! No one comes close imo. This might even top Constellations (my favourite ABR release) for me!
Nine Inch Nails - The Downward Spiral Talking Heads - Fear of Music Everything But the Girl - Walking Wounded
Metallica - Master of Puppets Genre: Thrash Metal Great album, especially in terms of overall instrumentation. The singer's voice could be much better. I prefer the contemporary metal singers. Lyrically I prefer Symphonic Metal to this because it's generally more upbeat.
Between The Buried And Me - Colors (Progressive Metal/Death-Metal) Between The Buried And Me - Alaska (Progressive Metal/Death-Metal)
Metallica - "Load' Genre: Heavy Metal / Hard Rock Haven't heard this record in years, and was surprised to find that it's actually really fucking great. The fanbase loves to give this album (and ReLoad) a lot of shit, but when there are tracks like Bleeding Me, Hero of the Day, Until It Sleeps, King Nothing, and The Outlaw Torn, it's hard to dislike it.
I wholeheartedly agree! Those two albums contain some of my favourite Metallica songs. You just need to approach them with an open mind. Many don't like Load/Reload simply because it doesn't sound like old-school Metallica. Verb T & Pitch 92 - Good Evening (Hip-Hop/UK-Rap) Life MC & Bad Habitz - Deep In The Trenches (Hip-Hop/UK-Rap) This is one of my favourite (newer) Hip Hop releases!
Joji - Chloe Burbank Volume 1 Genre: Hip-Hop KiTTiE - Spit Genre: Nu-Metal/Heavy Metal Angels & Airwaves - We Don't Need To Whisper Genre: Space Rock
David Byrne and Brian Eno - My Life in the Bush of Ghosts M.I.A. - Kala Really influential album to me personally. I feel a connection to it a lot with my family and history, in some way.
Nothing But Thieves - Nothing But Thieves Genre: Alternative rock / indie rock Nothing But Thieves - Broken Machine Genre: Alternative rock Both albums are just perfection
Stick To Your Guns - True View (Hardcore/Melodic-Hardcore) This is sooo good! Once again STYG deliver.
