no one made a thread about this song yet, this song was one that picked up my interest the first time through, but I think its possibly my favorite slower song from this album, its way too awesome, could not have heard it at a better time in my life
This song is amazing. My 3rd favorite from LIVING THINGS, by far. It always reminds me of my ex that I dated (and loved deeply) for a year and 2 months, and even though I'm happy now and WFTE/Iridescent had already gotten me over her, this song brought her back to my mind. Mike and Chester's smooth voices and the ohhhs really comforted me (I got the lyrics already memorized), and I never cried, only remininsced and felt relieved right at the end. It's an amazingly beautiful song, but then again the guys always make amazingly beautiful ballads, in my opinion. And the intro. DAT INTRO. :3
I actually just kinda blank out when I listen to it, and feel like tearing up, for me though ive been contemplating if i should do something, or if i will regret it if i don't, so ye
This is my most favorite song from LIVING THINGS. I love the fact that Mike is the main singer instead of Chester (like No Roads Left and In Between), OMG, his voice is so touching, and amazing. This is the better version of In Between, this song contains one of the best lyrics LP have ever written. I give this 10 out of 10
Roads Untraveled definitely deserves its own thread! The way the song starts is just great. Just think about how incredible this could sound live. Mike asking the crowd to be as quiet as possible before the songs starts. Then when the "Whoa" part starts, letting the crowd sing... Epicness guaranteed. IMO RU has the best lyrics of the album: "May your love never end and if you need a friend there's a seat here alongside me."
Roads Untraveled is probably the most adult song Linkin Park has ever written. Would love to hear more songs from LP with this kind of content.
I love the transition from the ending of Victimized to the intro of Roads Untraveled. The clinky sounds in the beginning gave me chills. Beautiful song 10/10
Fantastic song. It really hit home with me. Heck, I love the lyrics so much that I even put a part of them on my signature.
Honestly, every time I listen to this song I feel like it's reminding me of a poem or something, but it's not Robert Frost's "The Road Less Taken" so I can't place it, but there's definitely something it reminds me of.
The Rime of the Ancient Mariner? That's what comes to mind for me. Anyways, this song really blew me away on first listen. I did not expect a chorus that energetic from the slow-paced, beautiful verses. I also agree that that is some of the most mature and well thought-out lyrics Linkin Park has ever conceived.
