Hungary's Telekom VOLT Festival 2017 is set to a big one, and its latest announcement reveals that Linkin Park will be among the event's headliners. This is the most recent of several European festival appearances the band has announced this week.

Linkin Park is set to play on the festival's opening day, June 27th, 2017, and the tickets go on sale later this month on November 17th. More details can be found here, although complete details of the event's line-up and schedule are not yet available.

The band has never performed as part of a VOLT Festival line-up before but a remix of their acclaimed collaboration with Steve Aoki, "A Light That Never Comes", was used as part of the latter's DJ set at the festival back in 2014.

Are you going to this show? Come and discuss in our forums.

Uusally comes afterwards. Look at 2012 and 2014 where they started off with festivals and then announced a big tour with another headliner, like Incubus and 30 Seconds To Mars.

Hey at least it means that we're for sure getting the album by Summer of 2017. That in itself should come as a relief .

What's weird is that I've never heard of these festivals until LP's headlining them. Are these new? Or were these like obscure before the band showed up? Or am I just oblivious to festivals lol

I´m just glad that those people finally have a chance to see Linkin Park in their own country. Must be an awesome feeling for all the hardcore fans there :D

svikoncerti.eu organizes tickets and transport from Zagreb to all concerts in Europe... not sure about Hungary, but they are definitely going to Nova Rock.

Yeah, I know. Honestly not too interested in them, as I'm sure I could get to Austria for less than the price they charge. But Nova Rock is a very awkward date for me, given my matura exams exactly at that time. Not gonna bother with anything except Zagreb on this tour. Then if they're not coming now or on the second leg of the tour, I might go to Germany.

Since I'm sure you freaking Germans will get like 87 tour dates.

The more festivals and shows they schedule, the more it confirms new music is right around the corner. They will most definitely play some new stuff over there.
