Since July 15 we've known that members of Linkin Park, alongside actor Ken Jeong, filmed an episode of Carpool Karaoke for Apple Music. We knew this thanks to this Instagram post from the band: Unfortunately, that was five days before Chester sadly passed away. With his death, the episode was put in limbo for his family to decide if it would be released or not. Thankfully, today it was revealed that the episode will indeed be released and it will hit us in just about a week. The episode will be available for free on the bands Facebook page for everyone to watch. What do you think? Are you excited to see this? Come and discuss in our forums. Source: Linkin Park Twitter
It's gonna be hard, but I'm excited. It's gonna be a real sucky day when there's nothing left of Chester we haven't seen/heard. I'm still hoping we get the Lamb of God collab released somewhere.
I will watch it for sure, because i want to remember Chester as the funny and happy guy he was, always joking around.
I'll be definitely watching it. No doubt it'll be hard not to tear up, not only for me, but for the rest of us. Seeing him having fun, and laughing will definitely rise some negative spirits in all of us.
Awesome. Happy to see this. Of course it will also be hard, but my memories of Chester will always be of a fun guy who loved to joke around. This will definitely bring a smile to my face.
I'm feeling a bit choked up seeing the photo of Chester in the front seat, laughing and smiling, it's just so sad knowing this happened 5 days before he passed away. However, I will definitely watch it as I like many, want to remember Chester as the fun, lovable, energetic and charismatic man that he always was and will always be remembered as. Still, it will be hard to watch.
I'm really excited for this! I wasn't sure if Chester's family was going to let it air so thank you to his family and the rest of the band for giving the okay to do so. I Think it will bring joy to lots of people.
Dave Grohl just said it was very uncomfortable to shot the Carpool Karaoke, the opposite of the funny moments you see on the final cut. More than 4 hours of driving around and recording repetitive things.
I think it'll be the opposite for me because I'll feel like he's putting up a front to hide the pain. That's why I'm kind of dreading watching this. But I'm also too curious to not watch it.
I understand that not many fans want to watch the LP episode of Carpool Karaoke. Just like with grief, everybody goes at their own pace. I choose to remember Chester as the band's unofficial court jester, the dude who knew how to hit the guys' funny bones.
