This album is going to be absolutely amazing. AFI are one of my favorite bands. I really like their older stuff more than their newer stuff, though. However! Sing The Sorrow was a pretty mellow album in my book (which was the slight disappointment) , and if this album is anything like 'Miss Murder' or even heavier(please), I'm going to be pleased. Either way it's going to rock just because it's AFI and they have never failed to entertain me.
I'm so excited for this. Even if it's not as good as they usually are, I'll still probably love it. Sing The Sorrow wasn't exactly fantastic, but it was still enjoyable. I don't think AFI is capable of putting out something that is totally awful. They always have fun song titles.
I'm saving it for when it comes out. No, fuck that. I'm just too lazy to go download it. I'll probably do it eventually.
I listened to a few songs but it just got boring to me really fast. But I was in a hip-hop mood at the time, so I'll listen to it later.
I really like it. The second half of the CD seems better than the first half to me. I'm really liking the screaming as well. The little techno-ish outro is pretty cool.
Sing the Sorrow is one of my favorite albums and if Miss Murder is any indication of how DU is going to be, it might equal or even top STS for me. I still prefer Miseria Cantare to Prelude tho. Even tho Prelude 12/21 is a great intro.
well lemme just say that i ve been following AFI from a long long long time, since their first album. I've listened to all their album. After ART of DROWNING, sing the sorrow was like a complete different thing. Old school AFI was awesome, but DAVEY HAVOK is an exceptionally talented man and SING THE SORROW was a masterpiece. I gotta say that after SING THE SORROW my expectation level was sky high and i guess nuttin would've been able to fill that up. But DECEMBERUNDERGROUND is just sth dat i fell in love with immediately. The music in Sing the Sorrow was very dark and the lyrics were awesome (THE GREAT DISAPPOINTMENT...one of the bestest songs eva ) and in the new album i guess that the music is a lil different but the lyrics r dark and sad..( there is jus a dark dark meaning behind KISS MY EYES AND LAY ME TO SLEEP) well the album is just great and hope u guys like it..
Bought it today. Absolutely love it. "Summer Shudder" is my favorite song. I just hope it doesn't become a single, even though it would be a perfect one because it's catchy.
My brother thinks the same way. Not that you care, but yeah. It's definitely not better than "Sing The Sorrow", but it's a satisfying album either way.
I'm a little disappointed in this album. Not that it isn't good, but I'll be the first to admit that I'm an old-school AFI fan.
not a fan of AFI, so not sure what to think of this album, but I do wish they would have made a full song of Prelude 12-21, not just an "intro" of sorts
For me, this doesn't come close to Sing the Sorrow, which is probably my 2nd favorite album ever. I do love Prelude, Miss Murder, and Summer Shudder though. It's not a bad album, just not as good as STS.
