I don't know if here is the right place to ask, but..how do you listen to a lot of new music before getting bored and jumping back to the music you love to listen. For example with me..I want to listen to something like a new Indie band and then in the middle of an album I just go back to LP, BMTH, Weeknd and so on. Give some advice if you want please.

Personally, I don't want to become too complacent, so it's often good for me to get out of my comfort zone a little and invest my attention in something that isn't quite my usual thing. In the past, there have actually been some artists or albums that I gravitated towards just because they were so different to what I was listening to at that particular time and I felt it'd be good to have that contrast and balance.

In a lot of ways, music - esp. at the top-tier mainstream level - is very singles-driven now, so some artists are making albums that aren't designed to be listened through but more for you to pick things out from to throw into your playlists. Considering this, one thing you can try is creating playlists that are a mix of music you already listen to and things you're only starting to check out.

It takes effort to stick to something new. Some things that you find won't seem very accessible to you at first, and you'll know when something simply doesn't click with you at all.

The most important thing to me is: the voice/vocals of the singer. If I liked it then mostly I will love the whole discography from that artist/band. and btw that's why I still listen to Linkin Park after almost 15 years. because I love Chester & Mike's vocals. even If they go full on country or opera I'd still listen to them :p

Sounds good! It's quite different compared to some of their old Pop-Punk stuff, but I'm glad they're changing things up a bit. Love the funky vibe.

I'm gonna like the new Paramore. Getting away from their pop punk/hardcore has really served them well.

Granted, I doubt After Laughter will top the self-titled (that might remain their magnum opus for years to come), but it's looking to be a sweet development.

Just IMO, Emily Warren's new single is disappointing in the exact same way Julia Michaels' debut single was

I just listened to this, and it's gorgeous. Everyone Knows and No Longer Making Time are probably my current favorites.

I love this band and this is my favorite album this year. I had my expectations low since they didn't write for so long. Glad to be proven wrong. My favorite song is Go Get It. The ones you named are also beautiful songs.
