The studio updates continue to come in, this time it's a podcast with Mike and Brad where they talk about the new studio, take some questions from fans and talk about the new albums process in depth. You can listen to it on Soundcloud. What do you think of this update and it's new format? Come and discuss in our forums.
I appreciate the fact that Mike wants to focus more on live drums and instruments and not only use standard programs. Btw: that album title-fish-water reference by brad was hilarious and deep at the same time
I enjoyed the "conversational" lyrics direction. It's not only personal, nor just social and political. Seems like a mix of stuff that are bothering everyone.
That was fun! I enjoy these updates alot. The conversational lyrics are quite interesting and I get more hyped to see how it is going to turn out. Very cool!
I'd like videos - like, vlog-type things - instead of just audio podcasts, but I'm not fussed about the format.
Fun to listen to but not super informative - which is ok. Would rather not hear the podcast close out with Pokemon Go talk though lol. The album sounds like it's getting experimental from the way they're describing it.
We are almost in august and some of us bet the first single was going to be released by now. Now i think we wont hear anything until next year.
It's always fun to listen to them. Same vague shtick though. It is interesting hearing about their new writing process though, and how it might impact the album. Sounds like a lot centered around different types of lyrics and structures, which will hopefully lead to a Linkin Park album with slightly more depth than usual.
Maybe they'll be done with the album sooner than we thought, seems they maybe done with most of the vocals since they seem to be focusing on all the music now
Honestly there's almost nothing more that they could tell us at this point even if they wanted to, so I don't know why all of you are complaing so much. This contained a lot more information than most previous studio updates, even if it was mostly waffle, some interesting stuff slipped out.
